What are STEAM toys?
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) toys incorporate all of the same components as STEM toys while also including components of art.
Integrating the Arts into STEM is not a new concept. Remember looking at a flying machine by Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci? He incorporated art into his mechanical designs. Physicist Albert Einstein loved playing the piano. He once said, "The greatest scientists are artists as well," meaning, science requires creative thinking. Companies like Chevron want employees who are well rounded and innovative thinkers.
